Can I use Yahoo Site Builder to publish my site to another host, i.e. not Yahoo?

I need to build a website. I downloaded Yahoo Site Builder, but it seems to indicate that I have to have my site hosted by Yahoo in order to publish the final pages? Is this true? If so, then are there other easy-to-use free tools for creating web pages and publishing them which don%26#039;t require that the site is hosted by the tool provider?

Other Replys:Obtain ftp details from your web space provider or ISP. Use ftp software such terrapin, there are a few others, configure ftp details into software and upload.

rename the main page to index.html or if you%26#039;re using php, change it to index.php.

so if you want to host it in the webhosting, you need to upload the index.html.

Is there a website that rates home builders in Indiana from great to bad?

You could try the better business bureau, they have a web site that shows registered companies by categories. I am not aware of any sites that rate them. The bbb would tell you if there are complaints about a particular company. You could also try larger building supply companies in the area and ask them for references. One last thing is to find new construction and ask the owners if they are happy with the builder.

I believe that Monster.com, Hotjobs.com has them. You can also use word. they have great templates that can be used. Use the word wizard and it will guide you through it.

Having problems publishing my website!!?

I%26#039;m trying to publish my website. To create my website i%26#039;m using WYSIWYG Web Builder.

I used the webhost

http://www.ipowerweb.com/

It keeps giving me an error saying the supplied password is incorrect BUT it%26#039;s not!! I changed my password on ipower and it%26#039;s still not working.

Any advice?? This is sooo frustrating. I have everything else correct. My URL, HOST, USERNAME, REMOTE FOLDER, etc is all correct.. why wouldn%26#039;t my password work? Yes, i%26#039;m sure its correct!

Hi there,

I am assuming you are trying to use the FTP program that is in WYSIWYG Web Builder....

If you have a firewall/router on your computer then make sure you select the %26#039;Use passive mode for transfers%26#039; option on the screen where you enter all your other info... it%26#039;s down towards the bottom.

If that doesn%26#039;t work and if you use Windows, try disabling your Windows Firewall and then attempt publishing.

Yell, if none of the above works and we will go from there.

Are you trying to upload it to a public_html / www folder, or an FTP account you set up in your hosting admin control panel?

If you set up an FTP account with username and password, is that the password you are trying? If not try that please and let me know.
